ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. -- Lindsey Wilson men's golf team fell two spots following today's final round of the AAC Fall Preview at Barnsley Gardens Resort. The Blue Raiders finished the first two rounds of competition yesterday as they sat in sixth place.
The Blue Raiders shot a team-total 935 (312-302-321) to finish the tournament in eighth place at the 6,992-yards, par-72 Barnsley Gardens Resort course.
Point (Ga.) claimed the team championship by three strokes, finishing at 893 (305-290-298) while Dalton State (Ga.) fell to second place at 896 (296-305-295). Tennessee Wesleyan is third with a 909 (302-300-307).
Callum Blinkhorn once again proved to be the Blue Raiders best finisher at the tournament. Blinkhorn carded a 224 (76-74-74) to finish in a tie for sixth place. The placement marks the 23rd time in the junior's career that he has finished inside the top-10.
Jeremiah Hayes finished his tournament in a tie for 29th after posting a three-round score of 234 (80-76-78). Callum Burns finished one stroke off of Hayes to place in a tie for 32nd. He carded a 235 (76-75-84).
Etienne Rensburg shot a 245 (80-77-88) to tie for 62nd while Janik Hawlitzky is tied for 71st following a 284 (82-81-85).
Dalton State's Matthew Cleary shot even-par through all three of his rounds to claim the championship.
Lindsey Wilson men's golf returns to action early next spring to conclude the 2019-20 season.
