PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Sina Cavelti recorded a hat trick to lead Lindsey Wilson women's soccer to a 6-0 win over host Shawnee State (Ohio) today at Shawnee Turf.

Amara Safuan added a pair of goals to send the Blue Raiders (7-2-1, 3-0 in the Mid-South Conference) to a season-high third straight win.

Safuan and Cavelti each scored a goal inside the first five minutes of the match to give the Blue Raiders an early advantage. Lindsey Wilson ended the game out-shooting the Bears (4-7, 0-2) 29-8, including 14-3 in shots on goal.

Cavelti increased the Lindsey Wilson lead to 3-0 in the 14th minute. The goal marked the first time this season Cavelti has scored multiple goals in a game.

Emelie Liljered found the back of the net four minutes later with her fourth goal of the season to give Lindsey Wilson a 4-0 lead.

Cavelti scored her third goal of the game in 55th minute while Safuan added the game's final goal in the 70th minute for the 6-0 lead and eventual win.

Eveljn Frigotto and Jovana Ivanovic combined for the Blue Raiders' fourth shutout of the season.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 3 p.m. CT on Friday, October 11, as the Blue Raiders host Pikeville (Ky.) at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
