BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson women's soccer tied a season-high with seven goals today in a 7-1 win over Life (Ga.) in the Mid-South Conference Tournament Quarterfinals at Jim Ross Field.

The top-seeded Blue Raiders (13-3-1) advance to the Friday's semifinals against the winner of fourth-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) and fifth-seeded Cumberland (Tenn.) -- who plays later today.

MSC Player of the Year Sina Cavelti recorded a hat trick -- scoring the Blue Raiders' first three goals of the game. Lina Benthien, Eveljn Frigotto, and Mayu Satoh each added a goal in the win.

Cavelti gave the Blue Raiders an early 1-0 lead with a penalty-kick goal in the second minute. Emelie Liljered drew the foul to set up the penalty kick. Cavelti calmly buried the goal for the early advantage.

Cavelti added goals in the 21st and 30th minute to extend the lead to 3-0. The three goals push her team-leading total to 15 this season.

Benthien added a fourth goal of the day with 0.8 seconds remaining in the opening half. Frigotto supplied the assist as Benthien tallied her first career goal to send the Blue Raiders into intermission with a 4-0 lead.

Lindsey Wilson carried its momentum into the second frame.

Frigotto joined Benthien with her first career goal in the 51st minute to extend the lead to 5-0. Benthien returned the favor to Frigotto, assisting on the goal.

Satoh's service into the penalty box resulted in a sixth Lindsey Wilson goal in the 63rd minute. The serve bounded off a Life defender's head and into the back of the goal for the 6-0 lead. Less than a minute later, Satoh scored off an Amara Safuan assist for the final Blue Raider goal of the match.

Eighth-seeded Life (2-15) avoided the shutout in the 81st minute as Alexandra Collighan scored to trim the deficit to 7-1.

Jovana Ivanovic picked up the win in goal for the Blue Raiders. She allowed one goal while recording seven saves.

The Blue Raiders ended the game with an efficient nine shots on target in their 15 shots.

Lindsey Wilson's seven goals match its output against Pikeville (Ky.) on Oct. 11. Today's win extends the Blue Raiders conference tournament winning streak to 19 straight matches.
