Missouri Valley gained a spark over the final ten minutes of the half as momentum shifted in their favor. The Vikings peppers shot's towards the Blue Raider goal while limiting LWC to no more attempts. David Coffey stood tall in goal finishing with four saves in the half. The Vikings totaled 10 shots in the half.

Early in the second, on Akean Shackleford's third shot of the match, he nearly struck from 25 yards out. The senior raced past his defender before his shot sailed just wide of the right post and a diving keeper.

Missouri Valley nearly struck in the 71st minute when they were able to get in behind LWC defenders. Luka Gluscevic fired his shot from eight-yard out but Coffey picked up his ninth and final save of the contest.

Lindsey Wilson would counter after a Vikings near score as they played a ball over the top. Shackleford got in alone but his attempt would once again sail just wide of the goal.

De Jesus proved to be the difference-maker as his score in the 77th minute broke the scoreless game. A free-kick was all he needed. Setting up from 35-yards out on the right side, De Jesus sent in a curling attempt that deflected off the keeper's hands and into the goal.

The win moves Lindsey Wilson to an impressive 11-1-0 all-time in quarterfinal matchups at the national championship.

With the victory, the Blue Raiders advance to the semifinals for the first time since 2013. They are set to face No. 1 Central Methodist (Mo.). A full preview of the matchup will be available later this week on lindseyathletics.com.
