LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The No. 12-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team used a pair of first-half goals against Mobile (Ala.) on Friday afternoon to pick up their first win of the Grizzly Classic.

The contest was a physical battle as the match featured 26 total fouls called, 15 against the Blue Raiders. In total, there were seven cards as the Blue Raiders were flagged for two red cards late in the second half that ultimately led LWC playing the final 30 minutes of action without two players.

Lindsey Wilson controlled the first half as they managed six of their 11 shots in the game during the first 45 minutes. All three shots on goal for the game also came during the opening half.

Wendel Gabriel struck first in the 21st minute when he finished into a wide-open goal from inside the penalty area. Akean Shackleford and Oscar Dueso picked up assists on the play.

Seven minutes later the Blue Raiders would find the back of the goal once again. Rainer De Jesus set up on a free-kick just outside the penalty box, just right of center field. His shot crashed into the upper right-hand corner of the goal for the score.

During the 58th minute, Mobile would get on the scoreboard. Guzman Diaz was able to strike from 30-yards out.

The Blue Raiders then picked up red cards during the 59th and 71st minutes that would limit their offensive production for the rest of the half as they played down two men.
