The Tigers clawed ahead early in the contest, taking a quick 8-0 lead which forced a Lindsey Wilson timeout. Nearing the halfway mark in the half, GC continued to hold a comfortable single-digit cushion to stay out in front. The Tigers rolled the advantage to 14 by the halfway point, but Cundiff answered the call by catching fire from behind the arc for the Blue Raiders to chip the deficit down to single-digits. Despite the late-game heroics, Georgetown closed the game strong and in control to grab the 80-68 win.
