Oldham opened the scoring early for Lindsey Wilson knocking down an early three-point jumper to tie the game 3-3. Glover's impressive run of six points and four rebounds towards the end of the first quarter helped set the tempo for the offense as they carried a 24-22 lead into the second quarter.
That offense would not slow down as the Blue Raiders went on a 10-1 run to start the second quarter. Pikeville fought back and with a minute left on the clock, Sierra Feltner drained a three to tie the game 40-40. A couple of free throws from Stephens would give the Blue Raiders the halftime lead of 44-42.
Into the third quarter, the Blue Raiders faced a battle of adversity as the Bears were pushing for a way back into the game. Turner got a breakaway layup to slow down the opposition's efforts and secured her record-breaking achievement. Glover finished an offensive put-back later in the match to secure her double-double on the afternoon. A late three from Stephens meant the Blue Raiders held onto a 60-56 lead heading into the final quarter of the game.
The Bears kept pushing to tie the game and with 1:40 left on the clock in the fourth quarter, Pikeville cut the lead to 79-74. Bailey Frazier knocked down a three-pointer just a few seconds later to cut the lead even further to 81-77. As the clock counted down, the Blue Raiders were able to hold on for the victory and the season sweep of their in-state opponents.
