MARION, Ind. - The Lindsey Wilson women's indoor track and field team turned in a solid showing at the IWU Midwest Classic, highlighted by a duo of first-place finishes.

On Saturday, Meredith Johnson secured a "B" standard time of 3:03.46 in the 1,000-meter run en route to the top of the podium for the Blue Raiders.

On Friday, Ty'Nasia Walker claimed two top-five placements, including the highest mark of the night in the long jump (5.47m), missing a "B" standard distance but just 0.03m. The freshman also leaped to a fourth-place finish in the triple jump, posting a distance of 10.49m.

Additionally, on the first day of competition, Kerryann Scott's effort in the 60-meter dash of 7.90 seconds was only a single tenth behind Alana Mack of Cumberland (Tenn.) for first place in the event.

No team score was kept for this event.

Lindsey Wilson will travel to Louisville on February 19-20 for the Urban League Louisville Meet.
