De Lima and Chartier pick up first career hat tricks in win over Pikeville

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The No. 8-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team put on an offensive clinic in their Mid-South Conference matchup with Pikeville (Ky.) on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders (7-2-2, 7-1-2 MSC) downed the Bears (2-10-1, 0-10-1 MSC) 7-0 scoring three goals across the first eight minutes of action to quickly put the game away.

Irakoze Chartier opened the scoring in the third minute –the game-winner – on an assist from Tajay Reid. He later added two more goals, his second during the 78th minute and his third during the 69th. Neville Morgan and Cyrus Harmon picked up the helpers.

Vitor De Lima scored his first of three goals at the eight-minute of the contest. He added two second-half goals, in the 47th and the 74th minutes. David Ibramkadic, Morgan, and Harmon tallied the assists.

The hat tricks for Chartier and De Lima are the first of their careers.

Harmon added the Blue Raiders second goal of the game during the 8th minute on an assist from Julien Gastaldy.

Henrique Cavalini got the start in goal where he recorded one save in 90 minutes of action.

The Blue Raiders dominated the contest, recording 31 shots – 16 on goal – while limiting the Bears to just two shots. In total, seven Blue Raiders recorded a point in the contest.

Lindsey Wilson closes out their regular-season slate on Saturday, April 3, when they travel to Georgetown, Ky. to take on the Bears at Noon CT.
