The Patriots carried the momentum from their quarterfinal win into the semifinal match, putting the Blue Raiders under some early pressure forcing Frigotto into a couple of early saves. Ainhoa Camara broke the deadlock for the Patriots after 17 minutes when she capitalized on a fumbled save from Frigotto to finish into an empty net for the 1-0 lead.
Things got even worse for the Blue Raiders as the Patriots scored two quick goals in the span of two minutes later in the first half. Jayden Boelter collected her own cleared corner kick and finished a long shot from outside the box into the corner of the net. Two minutes later Shara Randez scored the third goal of the match when her free-kick from midfield fell in between the crossbar and Frigotto's outstretched hand and back into the goal.
Boelter headed home her second goal of the game after a cross from Lauren Navajas Marin found the forward in the box for the 4-0 halftime score.
Nakayenze got one back for the Blue Raiders in the 67th minute, picking the pocket of the Cumberlands defender and slotting it home for her seventh goal of the season. The goal was not enough to spark the comeback and the Blue Raiders bow out of the tournament and will not be featured in the conference championship game for the first time since 1999.
Lindsey Wilson awaits the release of national qualifiers for the 37th Annual NAIA National Championships which will be released on April 12th.
