Men's Golf Improves Three Spots; Finish Seventh at The Invite at Innisbrook

PALM HARBOR, Fla. – The No. 9-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's golf team had a strong final round at the Invite at Innisbrook to climb the leaderboard three positions to finish in seventh place. The Blue Raiders carded a 904 (301-302-301) across the three rounds of play.

The event was held at the Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course, a par-71, 7015-yard design. The field of 20 teams includes 12 schools ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA National Coaches poll, including three of the top-five teams in the nation.

Callum Burns had a steady week, shooting a 218 (72-73-73) after playing his final round at two-over-par. He played the par three's at even par for the event which was the fifth-best mark in the field. His 4.15 scoring average on the par fours was the 12th best average as he racked up 32 pars and nine birdies across the 54-hole event.

Sebastain Sandin held his position on the final day to finish in 38th place. He carded a 227 (75-75-77). Janik Hawlitzky posted a 231 (77-75-79) to take 56th as Alfie Yearsley finished one stroke behind with a 232 (77-80-75).

Etienne Rensburg had his best round of the invite during today's final round with a 235 (80-79-76). He finished in 74th place

No. 2 Keiser (Fla.) ran away with the event, winning by 35 strokes at 11-under-par. They managed an 841 (279-275-287). Keiser's Jack Maxey won the individual title with a 207 (68-66-73) to finish at six-under-par in the 104-man field.
