COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 18 Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team dropped their Mid-South Conference match to No. 4-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) 2-0 on Thursday afternoon at Ray Wells Field.

The Blue Raiders and the Patriots engaged in a tightly contested first half but two second-half goals for Cumberlands proved to be the difference in the match.

Lindsey Wilson held a 4-3 advantage in shots in the first half but failed to convert on their attempts. Cumberlands out-shot LWC 12-9 nine in the second half as the shots on goal were even at four.

Abby Baker netted both of the Patriots' goals in the contest as she scored in the 49th and 70th minutes. Olaya Blanco and Noah Paalman picked up the assists on the goals.

Lindsey Wilson returns to the pitch on Saturday when they take to the road to compete against Pikeville (Ky.). The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. CT.
