Women's Cross Country finishes in 20th at the Great Lakes Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Lindsey Wilson women's cross-country team finished in 20th place at the Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park this morning. The Blue Raiders recorded 478 points at the event.

Meredith Johnson took home the best finish by a Blue Raider after crossing the finish line in 18 minutes and 29.50 seconds. Her time was good enough for a 30th place finish. In total, 214 individuals competed in the event with 25 teams making the field.

Taylor (Ind.) won the event with 46 points as Abby Wiley of Huntington (W.V.) won the individual title with a time of 16:57.60.

Lotte Gertler finished in 124th place with her time of 19:55.60. Olivia Rudder crossed the line in 20:05.50 and in 115th place as Kaylee Masden took 117th place with her mark of 20:07.30.

Annabelle Walker raced her way to a time of 20:20.10 (132nd), Macey Wilson notched a mark of 20:49.10 (160th), and Laura Cuin ran his race in 21:30.30 (191st). Madisyn Mitoraj finished in 196th with a mark of 21:42.80 as Cady Schoeck was the final Blue Raider in action finishing in 207th with a time of 22:49.50.

Lindsey Wilson is back in action on Nov. 5 when they compete at the Mid-South Conference Championship in Bowling Green, Ky., at Phil Moore Park.
