BROOKINGS, S.D. – Henriette Hawlas of the Lindsey Wilson women's Indoor Track & Field team earned All-American honors on the opening day of the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championship, held at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Hawlas placed eighth in the Pentathlon with a total score of 3,352 points. The pentathlon started with 60-meter hurdles where Hawlas placed 13th with a time of nine point six four seconds for 781 points. After that, she took part in the high jump, tying for fifth with a leap of 1.58 meters for 712 points.
She went on to place sixth in the shot put competition with a throw of 10.22 meters for 544 points, 11th in the long jump with a jump of 5.18 meters for 609 points, and closed out strong with a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:28.95 for 706 points.
The NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships will continue tomorrow as five Blue Raiders compete in five separate events.
