BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson Track and Field teams traveled west to a chilly Bowling Green to compete in the Hilltopper Relays hosted by Western Kentucky University.
In the track events for the men, Edwin Van Wyk placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of ten point seventy-one seconds while also placing 10th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.73. Jaylun Wallace also took part in the event placing 17th with a time of 22.93.
Wallace got his best finish of the day in the 400-meter run placing second with a time of 49.54 while Brenden Parham placed 16th with a time of 51.96 and K'Ron Sherald placed 20th with a time of 52.45.
In the 800-meter run, Nolan Foushee placed a time of 1:55.62 for a fourth-place finish while Justin Stearns came across the line in 15th with a time of 2:00.92 and Michael Schonter placed 18th with a time of 2:01.35.
Stearns also went on to place 15th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:07.29 while Victor Clark placed 17th with a time of 4:08.97 and Noah Brown placed just behind Clark in 20th with a time of 4:11.45.
In the 400-meter hurdles, David Johns placed 10th with a time of 57.46.
In the relays, the 4x100 meter team placed third with a time of 42.75 while the 4x400 meter relay team also placed third with a time of 3:23.17.
In the field events, Justin Borden tied for fifth in the high jump at 1.85 meters while placing fourth in the long jump at 6.95 meters. Borden also went on to place 10th in the triple jump at 13.04 meters while Robert Dyer placed 13th at 12.48 meters.
Austin Campbell got the best field finish for the Blue Raiders after he took the discus event with a throw of 44.80 meters. Brandon Fields placed sixth in the event at 41.55 meters while Dominic Schroeder placed ninth with a throw of 39.79 meters.
As for the women, in the track events, Kerryann Scott placed 13th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.68. Henriette Hawlas finished 18th in the 200-meter run with a time of 26.25 while also placing 11th in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:00.16. Luna Senica also took part in the event placing 14th with a time of 1:00.89.
Meredith Johnson earned a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.72 while also finishing ninth in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:44.43.
In the field events, Malorie Carter placed 20th with a throw of 26.19 meters while Emily Huber placed 13th in the javelin throw with a throw of 25.10 meters.
The Blue Raiders will return to action on April 8-9 when they travel to Louisville, Kentucky for the Bellarmine Invite hosted by Bellarmine University (Ky.).
