Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team struggled to gather their footing against No. 2-ranked Spring Arbor, falling 4-0 at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
The Cougars made use of two goals late in the first half, during the 42nd and 43rd minutes to deflate a battling Lindsey Wilson squad. Out of the break, Spring Arbor wasted no time adding their third goal in the 50th minute and tacked on a fourth goal in the 61st minute to push the game out of reach.
Lindsey Wilson competed over the opening 40 minutes, trading quality scoring chances with the Cougars. The effort fell short as Spring Arbors' offense found its rhythm midway through the contest.
The Blue Raiders were outshot 29-11 including 14-8 in shots on goal.
Lindsey Wilson returns to the pitch on Sept. 17 when they welcome No. 12 Indiana Wesleyan to the newly named Ray Wells Field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium. First kick is set for 7 p.m. CT.
