COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team defeated Campbellsville (Ky.) 70-32 at the Holloway Natatorium on Saturday during the Highway 55 Last Chance Invitational.

Malte Ahrens scored a provisional standard as Fabio Martin earned three provisional standards, with two first place finishes.

Ahrens, James de Goede, Martin, and Daniel Wytwer teamed up for the 800-yard where they finished in first-place with a time of seven minutes and 24.38 seconds.

Martin earned his first provisional time of the day in the 500-yard breaststroke, touching the wall with a first-place mark of 4:31.05. His second victory occurred in the 1650-yard freestyle, netting a provisional standard with a time of 16:24.23, almost a minute faster than second-place. Martin added his third provisional standard in the 200-yard freestyle with a pace of 1:44.95.

Tyler Buffel raced his way to first-place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a pace of 2:23.61

De Goede collected an individual victory in the 100-yard backstroke, touching the wall with a time of 59.44. Chase Hickman earned first-place with a time of 53.32 in the 100-yard butterfly.

Ahrens earned a first-place finish in the 400-yard IM with a pace of 4:36.88. He later added on a provisional standard in the 1650-yard freestyle, crashing into the wall with a time of 17:21.16.

The quartet of de Goede, Hickman, Will Thilwind, and Max van Schagen raced to first-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:40.93.

Thilwind collected an individual win in the 200-yard backstroke, doing so in a time of 1:59.56. Van Schagen also earned an individual win in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching the wall with a time of 1:01.90 and giving the Blue Raiders their final first-place finish of the day.

Lindsey Wilson returns to the pool for the Mid-South Conference Championship on Feb. 2-4 in Kingsport, Tennessee.
