WILBERFORCE, Ohio – At Gaston Lewis Gymnasium, the Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team overcame an 11-point deficit against the homestanding Bulldogs, emerging victorious, 79-76, to clinch its first road win of the season and snap a five-game losing skid.

In the dramatic final minute, Wilberforce got the edge off a deep three-pointer, but the Blue Raiders were swift to respond with a go-ahead lay-up by Johrdon Mumford with 46 seconds on the clock. From there, the local's defense forced a stop to get the ball back, and Jackson Harlan went on to knock down two clutch free throws to ice the game.

The late heroics capped off an exciting second half that saw Lindsey Wilson outscore the Bulldogs, 49-37, after trailing by nine at the break. It is the second different outing this campaign in which the Blue Raiders came out on top after falling behind in the opening half.

Connor Robinson did not miss a shot on the evening for the visitors, finishing 7-for-7 from the charity stripe en route to a team-high 17 points. Fellow sophomore Jayden Lazard turned in an efficient performance off the bench with 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting, and Mumford closed with 15 points.

Lindsey Wilson was tasked with battling around the Bulldogs' full-court pressure from start to finish, and in the early stages of the contest, the Blue Raiders managed a 9-0 advantage behind a couple of outside shots by Elijah Jordan and Payton Cundiff.

Wilberforce stormed back, however, and utilized a 14-5 stretch across the final three minutes of the first half to build its initial cushion.

Then, as the final frame commenced, the two sides traded points before a 22-12 run by the visitors eventually knotted the game at 62-62.

Despite the Bulldogs restoring their lead to 67-62 with 7:01 to play, Lindsey Wilson powered through to outplay their opposition, 17-9, to the final horn.

As a team, the Blue Raiders controlled the glass, 45-41, led by Jordan's 10 rebounds. As far as shooting, the locals ended with a mark of 0.527 from the floor and converted on 18 of their 27 free throw attempts.

Lindsey Wilson now faces a quick turnaround to welcome No. 2 Thomas More University on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. CST.
