Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team dropped a Mid-South Conference match 2-1 against Bethel Wednesday at Walter S. Reuling Stadium/Ray Wells Field.
The Blue Raiders (3-7, 1-1 MSC) were outshot by the Wildcats (7-2, 2-1 MSC) 20-7 and 9-4 in shots on goal. Alina Siegel scored the lone goal for Lindsey Wilson and had two shots. Silvia Marchesi had two shots with both being on goal. Gabby Duerson recorded seven saves in the game.
In the first 45 minutes both teams recorded five shots with three coming on goal. Siegel recorded two shots in the first half. Siegel got the Blue Raiders on the board in the 28th minute. She connected on a free kick from 30 yards to beat the Wildcat goalkeeper in the top corner.
Bethel came out aggressive in the second half recording 15 shots with six on goal. The Wildcats tied the game in the 54th minute. Audrey LaRue fired a shot the hit off the post and Ainhoa Chirivella scored on the rebound. The Wildcats scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Oct. 11 when they travel to Campbellsville for a 5 p.m. CT matchup
