COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team fell to Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon with a score of 61-65.
After a back and forth first half, the Blue Raides led with a score of 32-30. Bethel maintained a lead for 31.7% of the half while the Blue Raiders held the lead for 37.2% of the half. Leading in points for Lindsey Wilson after the first half were Bryce Brown with 12 points and seven rebounds, and Lucas Ribeiro tallied two assists. The Blue Raiders shot 42.9% from the field, 10% on three point shots, and 77.8% from the free throw line. For the Wildcats, Kendan Maddox had six points, Jos Nazario had three rebounds, and Querrion Gadson had four assists. Bethel shot 41.4.9% from the field, 16.7% on three point shots, and 83.3% from the free throw line.
The second half concluded with Bethel taking the win by just four points. For the Blue Raiders, Brown added 10 more points in the second half as well as five more assists, and Kenyata Carbon added 15 points throughout the game. Ribeiro added one more assist during this half. This half, Lindsey Wilson shot 28.1% from the field, 21.4% on three point shots, and 66.7% on free throw attempts. For the Wildcats, Gadson, Tyler Neely, and Connor Guthrie each had 11 points throughout the game, and Brennon Marsh had eight rebounds throughout the game. This half, Bethel shot 40.7% from the field, 40% on three point shot attempts, and 64.7% on free throw attempts.
The Blue Raiders will face Campbellsville University next Thursday, January 25, at Campbellsville. The game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. CST.
