LEBANON, Tenn.-- The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw in a hard-fought game against Cumberland (Tenn.) this afternoon at Lindsey Donnell Stadium-Kirk Field.

Lindsey Wilson took the lead in the 39th minute when Lara Rocha found the back of the net for her third goal of the season, with Silvia Marchesi providing the assist. The Blue Raiders showcased a strong defensive effort, managing to hold off Cumberland for the majority of the match.

However, in a dramatic finish, Cumberland equalized in the 90th minute. Seika Ikezoe scored, assisted by Uxia Varela, breaking through the Blue Raider's solid defense that had held strong throughout the game.

Despite the late goal, Lindsey Wilson maintained a strong presence in the match, recording two shots on goal to Cumberland's four. Alida Leles was a contributor for the Blue Raiders, making three saves to keep her team in contention.


For the ending of the Blue Raiders regular season, they head home to play Campbellsville University (Ky.) for their Senior Night on Monday at 5 pm CST at Walter S. Reuling Stadium/Ray Wells Field.
