CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Blue Raider men's basketball team remains unbeaten as they take down Cincinnati-Clermont 94-84 on day one of the Thomas More Classic.

Lindsey Wilson trailed early in the first half as they were down 23-16 until they went on a 7-0 run with 11:00 remaining and never looked back. Daviel Jackson came up huge for the Blue Raiders as the Cougars had no answers for him. He finished with 28 points and 11 rebounds, for his first double-double of the season. With contributions from Barrett Burchyett who dropped 16 points going 3-7 from the three and Kenyata Carbon shooting an outstanding 5-8 from the field with 15 points, they needed that as it was another tough opponent for the Blue Raiders. The Cougars were fighting and clawing all first half to retake the lead but Lindsey went on a small 5-0 to extend the lead to 53-44 to end the first half.

As the second half got started, Jackson found his rhythm dropping 16 of his 28 points while going an almost perfect 7-8 from the field. The Blue Raiders continued their hot shooting, achieving another 50 percent outing from the field as they shot 54.5 percent and 38.9 percent from three. With their talented roster that has a lot of depth, the bench brought energy by providing 22 points.

The Blue Raiders will be back for their second game of the Thomas More Classic on Sunday at  12 p.m CST against Kent State-Tuscarwas.
