RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team closed out the Bevo Francis Classic coming up short against Rio Grande 84-81 Saturday at Newt Oliver Arena. 

Julian Cuunigham scored a season-high 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting while going 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. It was an eight-point lead for the RedStorm 41-33 going into half as both teams were fighting, shooting it well from the floor. Daivel Jackson and Cunnigham tried to lead the troops in the first half but the Storm's Eythan House and Trey Robertson came up big as they both dropped 11 points. 

Cunningham came out the break into attack mode as tried to rally the team where he dropped 16 points on great shooting going 5-7 from the field and 2-2 from the three. Olson Nicholson had a great second half showing pouring in 11 points. The Blue Raiders outscored Rio Grande 48-43 shooting 62.5 percent from the field and 63.6 percent from the three. The points off turnovers were a big differential where the Storm had 18 and the Blue Raiders converted 8 points. The small mistakes lead the Blue Raiders to just fall by 3 points. 

Efficient shooting from RIo Grande in the second half just maintained their lead going 55.2 percent and 50 percent from the field and three.
