CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team opened the Campbellsville University Classic with a 106-61 victory against Montreat (N.C.) 106-61 Friday at the Powell Athletic Center.

With the victory, Lindsey Wilson improves to 5-0 on the season. This marks the first time since the 2017-18 season the Blue Raiders have opened a season 5-0. Lindsey Wilson shot the ball well and finished the game shooting 56.7 percent from the field. This marks back-to-back games the Blue Raiders have shot over 55 percent. 

Julian Cunnigham led the team with 20 points dishing out nine assists and also grabbing four rebounds. Kenyata Carbon also showcased his talent proving 17 and eight assists as the Blue Raiders looked terrific in their outing. Three other players also scored double digits Jordan Mumford with 14 points, Matt Khoury added 12 points, and Daivel Jackson scored 11. 

The Blue Raiders started the game off hot going on a 8-0 run. The Cavaliers had no answers for the Blue Raiders' athleticism and tenacious defense. Lindsey Wilson held their opponent to 31.1 percent from the field and 14.3 percent from the three. The Blue Raiders controlled the game from start to finish as they continued to shoot lights out from the field and the three. 

Lindsey Wilson closes out the Campbellsville University Classic on Saturday against Brewton-Parker at 1 p.m. CT at the Powell Athletic Center.
