OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team closed out 2024 with an 83-59 victory over Brescia (Ky.) on Thursday at The Moore Center.
With the victory, the Blue Raiders improve to 11-3 heading into Christmas break and have won three of their last four games. Lindsey Wilson shot 40.9 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from beyond the arc making 12. This is the seventh game this season the Blue Raiders have made 12 or more threes. The Blue Raiders shot a season-best 94.4 percent from the free-throw line.
Lindsey Wilson had five players score in double figures led by
Kenyata Carbon who had a game-high 19 points. Daviel Jackson had 14 while grabbing a game-high nine rebounds. Jackson was a perfect 10-of-10 from the charity stripe and also recorded a pair of blocks.
Johrdon Mumford added 13 points while
Olson Nicholson and
Julian Cunningham chipped in with 12 and 10, respectively.
The Blue Raiders led 38-25 after the first 20 minutes and outscored the Bearcats 45-34 in the second half for the 83-59 win.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 4 when they host Washington Adventist (Md.) at 6:30 p.m. CT at Biggers Sports Center.
