Columbia, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team defeated Tennessee Southern 65-59 Monday at Biggers Sports Center.

It was a hard fought back-and-forth game but the Blue Raiders pulled away late behind Connor Robinson's five-point stretch towards the end of the second half to push the Blue Raider lead to six points that they never gave back up. Though this was the Blue Raiders lowest scoring game of the season  and shot a season-low 39.3 percent from the field, they still defended at a high clip holding the Firehawks to shooting 38.3 percent. 

Kenyata Carbon and Robinson were huge in the second half where they showed resilience and poise even though it was a close game, the Blue Raiders continued to fight as they were down at a point but still came up big when needed. Lindsey Wilson did have a bright spot where they shot 74.7 percent from the free-throw line to help seal the game. The Firehawks statistically won the rebounding, bench points and three-point shooting percentages but the Blue Raiders did enough defensively to come away with the win. Daivel Jackson's defensive low post dominance with five  blocks and Matt Khoury's sharp shooting going 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.

The Blue Raiders had three players hit double-digit scores with Carbon leading the way who had a borderline double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds , Jackson and Khoury each added 11.

Lindsey Wilson will be back to play in an exhibition against Southern University Louisiana December 10 at 11 a.m CST in Baton Rouge, LA.
