LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's track & field team opened the indoor season breaking three school records at the Commonwealth College Opener Saturday at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
Hannah Reid finished runner-up in the 600-meter breaking the school record with a time of 1:35.80. Reid's time was also fast enough to earn an NAIA "B" standard. In the 4x400 meter relay,
Ta'shya Cramer, Reid,
Kyra Engel, and
Kayly Guthrie raced to a school record running a 4:03.40 finishing 6th.
Rosemond Owusu jumped her way into the Blue Raider record books in the high jump. Owusu finished third with a record jump of 1.65 meters to earn a "B" standard. She also finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.29 meters. Guthrie earned a "B" standard in the 60-meter finishing in fourth with a time of 7.60.
Reagan Cheatham finished eighth in the shot put and the weight throw. Cheatham had distance of 11.07 meters in the shot put and 13.57 meters in the weight throw. The Blue Raiders had three top-10 finishers in the long jump.
Charm Rone finished fourth with a jump of 5.29 meters,
Destiny Barnes was eighth with a distance of 5.15 meters and
Elaina Holliday was ninth with a jump of 5.07 meters.
Lindsey Wilson is back in action on Jan. 10 for the Vanderbilt University meet held in Nashville, Tenn.
