COLUMBIA, Ky. - Connor Robinson made a three point shot with four seconds remaining in the game to solidify a win for Lindsey Wilson and to complete a season sweep of No.13 ranked Georgetown with the final score being 64-62.
At the half, the game was tied with a score of 28-28. For the Blue Raiders, Robinson put up a strong offensive effort, recording 13 points in the half. Lucas Ribeiro had four rebounds as well as an assist. Kenyata Carbon, Barrett Burchyett, and Johrdon Mumford also each recorded an assist. Lindsey WIlson shot 44.4% from the field, 37.5% on three point shots, and 50% from the free throw line. Leading in points for Georgetown was Rashad Bishop with 18 in the first half. Bishop also led in rebounds with nine and Tae Dozier had two assists. The Tigers shot 35.1% from the field, and 50% from the free throw line.
After a back and forth second half, the Blue Raiders came away with the win in the final seconds of the game. A three point shot by Robinson assisted by Bryce Brown solidified the victory for Lindsey Wilson. Robinson added 12 more points in the second half, recording 25 overall, along with Brown adding 12 in the game. Ribeiro added another rebound, and Carbon had four throughout the game along with Robinson. Carbon had five assists in the game as well as four steals. In the second half, Lindsey Wilson shot 59.1% from the field, 50% on three point shots and 53.8% from the free throw line. For Georgetown, Bishop added four more points for the Tigers and Dozier had 12 overall. Bishop also led in rebounds with 12 as well as in blocks with four and Dozier recorded four assists. The Tigers shot 37.9% from the field, 35.7% on three point shots and 70% from the free throw line.
The Blue Raiders will face Cumberland University for the next game on Thursday, February 8, at Cumberland. The game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. CST and will be streamed live on the Cumberland Sports Network.
