Blue Raiders Secure a 99-79 Victory Over the Phoenix on their Home Arena

LEBANON, Tenn. - Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team showcased their offensive prowess in tonight's matchup at the Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena, securing a 99-79 victory over Cumberland.
Despite a strong start by Cumberland (6-16, 2-6 MSC), who shot 35.3% from the field and displayed early three-point proficiency, the Blue Raiders' season-best shooting of 63.8% proved to be the defining factor. The Phoenix struggled from beyond the arc, finishing 9-for-29, while Lindsey Wilson capitalized on 8-of-18 three-point attempts.
The rebounding battle heavily favored Lindsey Wilson (13-10, 4-4 MSC), outclassing Cumberland 51 to 25. The Phoenix succeeded at the free-throw line, going 22-for-29, but it wasn't enough to offset Lindsey Wilson's dominant performance.
Bryce Brown led all scorers with an outstanding career-high 33 points, connecting on 15-of-20 field goal attempts, which are also the most by a player this season for us. Kenyata Carbon contributed 20 points on an efficient 8-of-10 shooting with eight rebounds. Johrdon Mumford and Connor Robinson also contributed significantly with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Cumberland's Santonio McDaniel and Keyshawn Robinson led their team with 14 points each. McDaniel showcased his accuracy, shooting 4-for-6 from the field and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc in just 20 minutes of action. Robinson, on the other hand, recorded a team-high eight boards.
The game saw a competitive first half, with Cumberland leading early and Lindsey Wilson responding with a substantial 19-0 run. Despite a late surge by the Phoenix, Lindsey Wilson entered halftime with a narrow 42-39 lead.
The second half opened with Lindsey Wilson extending their lead with a 7-0 run, and they never looked back. The Blue Raiders pushed their advantage to a 20-point lead at the 10-minute mark, maintaining that margin until the final buzzer, securing a convincing 99-79 victory.

The Blue Raiders next game is this Saturday as they return to Columbia, KY for their Senior Day. They will face rivals Campbellsville for the rematch of this season's "Battle of Highway 55". The matchup is scheduled for 3 p.m. CST at Biggers Sports Center and will be broadcast live on the Lindsey Wilson Sports Network.
