GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson baseball team opened a Mid-South Conference series dropping a doubleheader against Georgetown (Ky.) Saturday at Robert N. Wilson Field.
The Blue Raiders (12-16, 0-5 MSC) dropped game one 3-1 before falling in game two 14-2
Game One: Georgetown 3 Lindsey Wilson 1 (7 Innings)
Chance Stayton, 
Andres Duran, 
Jonathan Barham and 
Koby Wall each recorded a hit while Wall hit a home run in the game. 
Cohen Achen pitched six innings allowing three runs on seven hits while walking three and striking out eight.
The Blue Raiders lone run of the game came in the top of the third on a Wall solo home run. Lindsey Wilson began the fourth inning with back-to-back singles before an strike out and double play ended the Blue Raider threat.
Georgetown led off the bottom of the sixth with a double. Following a strike out and an intentional walk, a single loaded the bases for the Tigers. The Tigers took a 2-1 lead on a two-RBI single and then hit a sacrifice fly to gain the 3-1 advantage.
Game Two: Georgetown 14 Lindsey Wilson 2 (7 Innings)
Gabe Board and 
Sam Gage each recorded a pair of hits while 
Bryce Sidler and Stayton drove in a run. 
Glenn Simes got the start pitching three innings allowing six runs on six hits, walking four and striking out two. 
Jacob Jackson pitched one inning allowing five run on five hits while 
Ethan Fain threw two innings giving up two earned runs on three hits.
The Tigers got off to a fast start leading 5-0 after the third inning and then scored six runs in the fourth to lead 11-0. Sidler got the Blue Raiders on the board in the fifth with a leadoff home run and Stayton drove in Lindsey Wilson's second run later in the inning. Georgetown pushed its lead to 14-2 in the bottom half of the fifth.
