OWENSBORO, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's track and field team posted a runner-up finish at the Bearcat Invitational Saturday at Brescia.
The Blue Raiders totaled 179.5 points in the five-team field and won five events on the day.
Eliza Hagens won the 5,000-meter race walk finishing in 29:06.75 earning an NAIA B standard.
Macey Wilson earned a victory in the 1500 with a time of 5:10.49 while
Alyssa Sharp was first in the 3000 steeplechase finishing in 13:42.17.
Destiny Barnes won the high jump with a distance of 1.55 meters while
Reagan Cheatham earned the final victory for the Blue Raiders in the shot put with a throw of 11.66 meters.
In the 200, Ophellia Bernard finished in second (26.25), Ta'Shya Cramer was third (26.42),
Alisha Claycomb finished seventh (27.91) and
Laura Bellido finished eighth in 27.94.
Bellido finished fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:01.33 while Claycomb was fifth with a time of 1:03.66. Rudder finished in 1:05.50 to place sixth.
Rudder finished fourth in the 800 (2:27.54), Alejandra Recarey was fifth (2:29.37), Wilson finished sixth (2:30.19),
Kaylee Masden was seventh (2:31.15) and
Clayra Darnell was ninth finishing in 2:43.90.
Alexandra Solis finished runner-up in the 1500 with a time of 5:11.93 while
Laura Cuin (5:34.92) and
Jenna Burden (5:57.94) finished in fourth and seventh. In the 5000, Sharp finished second in 20:50.21 while
Lotte Gertler was third with a time of 21:40.13.
Alexis Hale finished runner-up in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:18.07 while
Mayatu Brown was seventh in the 100 finishing in 13.44.
Rudder, Masden, Wilson and Recarey finished third in the 4x400 relay finishing in 4:36.87.
Cheatham finished second in the discus with a throw of 33.95 meters. Elania Holliday placed third in the long jump with a distance of 5.17 meters.
Nikki Ravelli finished third in the shot put with a throw of 11.01 meters and was eighth in the discus with a distance of 25.23 meters.
Lilly West recorded a throw of 30.56 meters to place fourth in the discus while
Mine Iscen tied for fourth in the high jump with a jump of 1.35 meters.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on April 12 when they travel to Danville, Kentucky for the Centre Twilight.
