Men’s Soccer Travels to Georgia this Weekend to Compete in the NAIA Atlanta Classic

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The No. 25 ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team travels to Peachtree City, GA to face two ranked teams in the NAIA Atlanta Classic.

The first game will be against No. 21 ranked Rio Grande (Ohio) at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at the MOBA Soccer Complex. The second match is scheduled for kickoff at 12 p.m. CT. on Monday versus No. 2 ranked St. Thomas (Fla.).

The Blue Raiders (0-1-1) look for their first win of the season in this classic. Scoring has not been a problem for them so far, netting three goals in two games. A player that showcases this is Dominic Ayella as he has performed great in his first two games. Ayella won a penalty in his first game and scored a goal in the second one.

Lindsey Wilson must improve their defense and strive for a clean sheet, or at the very least, minimize the number of goals conceded.

The Red Storm (1-1) lost their last game against Mid-South Conference team Cumberland (Tenn.) 2-0 at home. Rio Grande's Rafael Kawata will be a player to watch with his two goal contributions so far (one goal and one assist).

The Bobcats (1-0) won their only game against Florida National by 2-0. St. Thomas' freshman Francisco Tolaba is a player to keep an eye on too as he scored on his debut and played almost the entire match.

The Blue Raiders face Rio Grande (Ohio) at 6:30 p.m. CT on Sat. 31 at the MOBA Soccer Complex.
