COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's wrestling team defeated Midway (Ky.) 28-15 Friday night on Senior Night in Biggers Sports Center.

With the victory, the Blue Raiders improve to 8-3 in duals and 2-2 in the Mid-South Conference. Lindsey Wilson tallied two tech falls, two pins and two decisions in the victory.

Chase Ayers (No. 20 at 125 pounds) got the dual started with a pin of Kapela Jospeh in just 28 seconds. Clarence Lee-Green IV (No. 15 at 125) increased the Blue Raider lead to 11-0 with a 15-0 tech fall over Rowdy Benner at 133 pounds. Adrian Ayala (No. 14 at 149 pounds) earned a 19-4 tech fall at 141 pounds over Adrian Velazquez giving Lindsey Wilson a 16-0 advantage.

Midway rattled off back-to-back wins at 149 and 157 pounds with a decision and a pin to trim the Blue Raider lead to 16-9. Brandon Irigoyen won a thrilling 13-11 decision over Jabrill Williams at 165 pounds. Irigoyen trailed 6-1 heading into the third period and recorded four takedowns in the final two minutes for the victory. Chris Morales made it 22-9 with a 10-4 decision at 174 pounds. Will George recorded the final win of the night for the Blue Raiders with a second-period pin of Michael Colligan at 184 pounds. The Eagles earned decision victories at 197 and 285 to close out the dual.

The Blue Raiders are back on the mat Saturday heading to Leabon, Tennessee for the Cumberland Open.
