COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team recorded its fifth of the season in a 2-0 victory against No. 20 Georgia Gwinnett Sunday afternoon on Ray Wells Field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium. 

The (RV) Blue Raiders (5-4-2)  took 13 shots and attempted seven shots on goal. The Grizzlies (6-5-3) put up nine shots. Demi Serman posted her fifth clean sheet of the season stopping all four Grizzly shots on goal. 

In the first half, Lindsey Wilson and Georgia Gwinnett played to a scoreless tie as both teams tried to feel each other out. The Blue Raiders maintained offensive pressure, recording eight shots, while the Grizzlies managed six attempts of their own. 

In the second half, the Blue Raiders found their rhythm as Efua Asabel broke the deadlock in the 67th minute, heading the ball past the goalkeeper for her sixth goal of the season and fourth in the last three matches. Lindsey Wilson wasn't done there, as Ashiat Naluggwa added to the lead with a strike in the 85th minute, marking her third goal of the year. 

The Blue Raiders will be back at home to face off against Tennessee Southern at 5 pm CT Thursday October 16 on Ray Wells Field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
