COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Blue Raider volleyball team begins a four-match homestand to end the regular season on Wednesday against Brescia (Ky.) at Biggers Sports Center.

Lindsey Wilson is 18-6 this season when playing non-conference opponents and is riding a 55-match non-conference home winning streak.

On their home floor, the Blue Raiders average three more kills per set than their opponents while hitting 0.199.

Luiza Gonçalves and Sofija Pjevic are the only two Blue Raiders to start in all eight of Lindsey Wilson's home matches this season. Gonçalves contributes 9.50 assists per set and boasts a 0.437 attack percentage in front of the home crowd. Pjevic has 31 kills and 23 blocks.

Brescia finds itself in the midst of a four-match losing streak, having lost eight of its last nine. During the recent four-match skid, the Bearcats are hitting 0.010.

Outside hitters Callie Mason and Kendyn Syfert lead Brescia's offense with 232 and 202 kills, respectively. The duo receives a majority of its passes from Cheaney Archer and her 697 assists.

Senior Campbell McBride anchors the Bearcats' defense posting 4.11 digs per set, and sophomore Jennifer Lee patrols the net with 75 blocks.

Wednesday will be the 31^st all-time meeting between Lindsey Wilson and Brescia, dating back to 1996. The Bearcats won the first seven matches of the series, then added three more wins, all in 2005. The Blue Raiders have controlled the in-state rivalry since, winning 13 straight and the last seven at home.

The Lindsey Wilson volleyball program will host "Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night" on Wednesday.
