Blue Raiders Stay Unbeaten with Dominant 99-73 Win Over Fisk in Classic

COLUMBIA, Ky.-  The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team outlasted Fisk (Tenn.) 99-73 in the Brady Button Memorial Classic on Saturday, November 1, inside Biggers Sports Center.

Julian Cunningham came up big for Lindsey Wilson, dropping 27 points on an efficient shooting night hitting 69.2 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from beyond the arc. A trio of Blue Raiders joined him in double figures, with Victory Naboya and Esteban Oliveras each scoring 15 points and Kenyata Carbon adding 10.

The Blue Raiders (3-0) showcased their depth and looked like a complete team, shooting 62.3 percent from the field and a season-high 48.0 percent from three-point range. Lindsey Wilson opened the game on a 15-4 run sparked by Naboya's contested layup. The Blue Raiders' defense made things tough for the Bulldogs, holding them to just 29 percent shooting during that early stretch. Lindsey Wilson controlled the first half from start to finish, putting up 50 points while shooting 63.6 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from deep.

The Bulldogs (0-4) couldn't get over the hump as they shot 40.6 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from three. Though they forced the Blue Raiders into 17 turnovers compared to their own 10, Fisk (Tenn.) couldn't capitalize on those extra possessions. Despite a few late scoring runs, Fisk couldn't match the Blue Raiders' balanced offense ultimately falling short in the second half as Lindsey Wilson pulled away for the 99-73 win.

Lindsey Wilson will be back on the court Sunday, November 2, for the final game of the Brady Button Memorial Classic as they take on the College of Coastal Georgia at 4 p.m. CT inside Biggers Sports Center.
