Ana Clara Beltran Sacca extended Lindsey Wilson's lead to 15-8. The Blue Raiders went on to add another short run of five straight points, then held of a late Georgetown rally to take the first set 25-19.
Four kills and a combination of Tiger hitting errors helped the Blue Raiders out to an 8-3 advantage in the second set. Raonic's five kills in the frame kept Georgetown behind, even as the Tigers continuously cut the deficit down to one point. A 5-1 swing by Georgetown down the stretch tied the score at 23-23, but a subsequent service miscue and Wyrzykowska strike pushed the set in Lindsey Wilson's favor.
Georgetown took control initially in the third set and eventually led 13-9 into a Blue Raider timeout. A pair of aces off the hand of HuYoung knotted the score at 15-15, and from there the set teetered on both sides of the net. The Tigers used a small spark to go up 23-21, drawing another Lindsey Wilson timeout. Out of the breather, Raonic, Wyrzykowska, and Robinson each provided kills to quickly shift momentum. The Tigers managed to extend the set for one more point before Robinson earned match-point on a kill and the Blue Raiders got the benefit of another Georgetown error to seal the deal.
