LAKELAND, Fla. – The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team earned a 1-0 overtime victory over No. 15 Southeastern University (Fla.) in the second round of the NAIA National Championship. 

The Blue Raiders (10-5-2) recorded 13 total shots, including three on goal, while the Fire (13-3-3) finished with 23 shots, nine of which were on target. 

Just 32 seconds into overtime, Efua Asabel converted a penalty kick for her 14th goal of the season, giving Lindsey Wilson the win. Southeastern was shown a red card immediately following the goal, and the Blue Raiders held on to secure the victory. 

The first half was a defensive battle, with both teams creating scoring chances but unable to convert. Southeastern pressured Lindsey Wilson early, with Ariadna Lozano and Rebecca Laface testing the Blue Raider defense, while Ashiat Naluggwa and Mercy Kinuthia led Lindsey Wilson's attacks. Goalkeepers Demi Serman and Ella Sebree made key saves to keep the score 0-0 at halftime. 

In the second half, Lindsey Wilson generated several chances off corners and crosses, but Southeastern's defense and Sebree continued to hold strong. The Fire continued to push forward, but Serman made multiple saves to maintain the shutout through regulation. 

The Blue Raiders will face No. 4 Missouri Valley College in Pensacola, Florida, for the round of 16 of the NAIA Championship on Tuesday, December 2. This marks the first time since 2019 that Lindsey Wilson has advanced to the round of 16.
