COLUMBIA, Ky. – Blue Raider sophomore
Dominic Ayella was named Mid-South Conference men's soccer Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday.
The Ugandan forward earns weekly honors for the second time in 2025 and the fourth time in his career. He was previously recognized back on September 22 of this season.
Ayella provided No. 5 Lindsey Wilson's offense in last week's Mid-South Conference tournament quarterfinal victory over Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.). He scored both of the Blue Raiders' goals, each in the second half, with the second standing as the game-winner in the 2-1 decision.
Ayella's efforts extended his goal-scoring streak to three matches and goes down as his second multi-goal performance of the year. It also put the Blue Raiders into Wednesday's tournament semifinal round at Bethel (Tenn.).
Dominic and his Lindsey Wilson teammates travel to McKenize, Tennessee at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday, November 5.
