COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak on Tuesday at Biggers Sports Center with an 85-65 victory over Ohio Christian.

With the postseason approaching, the Blue Raiders needed to regain momentum, and Head Coach Chris Starks had his team ready to take down the Trailblazers. The game opened as a tightly contested battle, with neither team able to establish control. Trailing 5-4, the Blue Raiders sparked a 10-0 run at the 16:06 mark, stretching the score to 14-5. However, Ohio Christian fought back, chipping away at the deficit and eventually taking a three-point lead with 5:46 remaining in the first half. Costly fouls by the Trailblazers put the Blue Raiders in the bonus, allowing them to capitalize at the free-throw line and reclaim a 38-34 lead at halftime. Both offenses were clicking offensively in the first half, with the Blue Raiders shooting 52 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc, while the Trailblazers shot 53.6 percent shooting and 36.4 percent from three.

Lindsey Wilson took control in the second half as the Blue Raiders shot 66.7 percent from the field (18-of-27) and 60 percent from three (6-of-10) over the final 20 minutes. Defensively, Lindsey Wilson limited Ohio Christian to just 12-of-34 from the field and and 4-of-19 from three in the second half. The Blue Raiders began to pull away early the half, and a big dunk by Daivel Jackson ignited an 11-6 run. As the game started to end, Starks emptied the bench, sealing a dominant performance.

Caleb Schmelzer led the Trailblazers with 14 points followed by Parker Penrod's 12 points and Cale Rammel with 10 points in their defeat.

The Blue Raiders are back in action on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT taking on the No. 3
