Georgetown,Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team falls to No. 3 Georgetown 74-68 Saturday at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.
Coming off an injury, Kenyata Carbon tried to will the Blue Raiders to victory, delivering a game-high 21 points while shooting 7-for-16 from the field.
Daivel Jackson was the only other Blue Raider to reach double digits with 15 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
Georgetown jumped out to an 11-point lead at the 10:30 mark of the first half, making it 18-7. In the final two minutes, both teams traded baskets, but Lindsey Wilson couldn't close the gap, heading into halftime trailing 36-27. Despite shooting just 25 percent from the field and committing 12 first-half turnovers, the Blue Raiders remained within striking distance. Carbon led the charge with 13 first-half points on 50 percent shooting.
The second half brought plenty of action. At the 13:29 mark, Lindsey Wilson went on a 7-2 run, taking a 49-47 lead.

The Tigers then delivered a 9-2 run, shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the field, pushing the Blue Raiders. But just when it seemed Georgetown had secured the win, Lindsey Wilson answered with a 6-2 run, trimming the deficit to one at 69-68 with 30 seconds left.
