COLUMBIA, Ky.- Blue Raider baseball takes to the diamond of Egnew Park at 2 pm CST on Tuesday, facing the (8-9) Bears of Pikeville (Ky.).

Lindsey Wilson (1-14) is looking to end an 11-game losing streak, after dropping four games in their home-opener series against Indiana Tech. Bryce Sidler leads the Blue Raider offense with 20 hits on 52 plate appearances with five doubles, four RBIs, and a home run. Matthew Schultz has tallied 18 hits on 47 at-bats, nine RBIs, three home runs, two doubles, and a triple on the season. Drake Young leads the team in RBIs on the season with 12, as well as three home runs on 10 hits in 36 plate appearances. Glenn Simes (1-3) has appeared and started in four games, pitching a total of 20.1 innings, giving up 20 runs on 29 hits, with an ERA of 7.97 and 18 strikeouts and six walks. 

Pikeville has dropped five straight with their most recent losses coming from a three-game sweep by Johnson University (Tenn.). Riley Paulino leads the Bears at the plate with a .311 average on 14 hits on 45 appearances, with 13 RBIs, two doubles, and two home runs. Francis Subero has tallied 13 RBIs on 13 hits with one double, two triples, and a homerun. Kameron Brodeur (3-1) leads Pikeville at the mound, pitching a total of 20.2 innings pitched, 12 strikeouts and five walks. Shaye McTavish (1-3) has pitched a total of 21.1 innings, giving up 17 runs on 17 hits, 24 strikeouts, and 29 walks. 

This will be the 52 all-time meeting between the programs with Lindsey Wilson leading the series 31-20. The two teams have split the last ten games, both winning 5-5. The Blue Raiders and Bears last faced each other on March 5, 2024 in Pikeville as the Bears took a 7-5 victory over the Blue Raiders. 

The first pitch will be thrown from the mound of Egnew Park at 2 pm CST on Tuesday for a single game between Pikeville and Lindsey Wilson.
