COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson baseball team fell 15-5 to Oakland City (Ind.) Wednesday afternoon in Egnew Park to close out the Blue Raiders home schedule.

Diego Andino went 2-of-3 on the day to lead the Blue Raiders at the plate. Andres Duran and Maddox Tarrence both contributed a solo home run on the day, tallying two of the five Lindsey Wilson runs. Duran also tacked on two RBIs to lead the Blue Raiders on the day.

Duran got the Blue Raider offense going in the bottom of the first with a solo shot over the right field wall to give Lindsey Wilson the early 1-0 advantage headed into the second frame.

Both teams went scoreless in the second inning with Oakland City tacking on four runs in the top of the third to take a 4-1 lead. Braxton Smith led off for the Blue Raiders, singling to left. Tarrence grounded out to first, advancing Smith over to second. With Duran at the plate, Mighty Oak, Clark Gries, made an attempt to pick off Smith at second and overthrew second base, allowing Smith to advance to third. Duran grounded out to first base, scoring Smith to cut the deficit to 4-2 headed into the fourth.

After the Mighty Oaks took a 7-2 lead in the top of the fourth frame, Bryce Sidler loaded first after getting hit by a pitch to lead off. Stayton singled into left field, advancing Sidler to second. Diego Andino stepped into the box and singled through the right side to load the bases for Tray Price. Price was able to reach on a fielder's choice as Andino was out at second, allowing Sidler to score from third to cut the lead to 7-3. With runners on the corners, Drake Young entered to pinch hit for Gray Colvin. Price stole second on a wild pitch, with Stayton staying at third. Young connected on a sac fly to left field, allowing Stayton to tag up on third in enough time to score, cutting into the lead once again to trail 7-4.
