LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.- The Blue Raiders defeated Lawrence Tech (Mich.) 2-0 on the first day of the Labor Day Grizzly Classic at the Grizzly Soccer Complex Saturday night. 

Milan Diao and Elvis Eddy Mwanje both tallied goals with assists from Dominic Ayella and Michael Rempel. 

Lindsey Wilson struck first in the 16th minute of action with Mwanje finding the back of the net on a pass from Ayella to give the Blue Raiders the early 1-0 advantage. On a corner kick from Rempel in the 40th minute, Diao was able to convert and score his second goal of the season handing LWU a 2-0 edge headed into the half. 

Lindsey Wilson outshot Lawrence Tech 11-0 in the first half with three being on goal as well as assists occurring on both Blue Raider goals. 

Both teams went scoreless the second half, but the Blue Raiders outshot the Blue Devils 10-0 with two on-goal in the final 45 minutes of action. LWU attempted 21 shots for the whole game with five being on goal. 

Men's soccer will be back in action on Monday at 1 pm CT to face (RV) Georgia Gwinnett at Grizzly Soccer Complex for the second day of the Labor Day Grizzly Classic.
