SPRING ARBOR, Mich.- No.3-ranked Lindsey Wilson defeated No.24-ranked Spring Arbor 2-0 Saturday afternoon at the Cougar Soccer Complex.

Milan Diao and Renny Caicedo scored the two Blue Raider goals with assists from Dominic Ayella and Geronimo Gomez. Francois Djiba protected the net, moving to 7-0-1, saving all three shots he faced.

Diao opened the scoring for Lindsey Wilson in the 22nd minute on an assist by Ayella, giving the Blue Raiders the early 1-0 edge. 

Lindsey Wilson outshot Spring Arbor six-to-five in the first half, with one shot being on goal. Djiba tallied two saves on both of the Cougars' shots he faced to give Lindsey Wilson the 1-0 advantage headed into the half. 

LWU was set up for a goal in the 63rd minute to extend the lead, but was deemed offside. The Blue Raiders extended their lead to 2-0 in the 75th minute off of a goal by Caicedo, assisted by Gomez. 

The Blue Raiders outshot the Cougars 13-9 in the game, tallying five shots on goal, defeating the Cougars 2-0. 

Men's soccer will be back in action on Wednesday at 7 P.M.CT to continue their Mid-South Conference schedule against Campbellsville (Ky.) at Finley Stadium.
