COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's tennis teams travel to Georgeton, Kentucky for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association NAIA Southeast Regional, taking place Thursday-Sunday at the Lackey Tennis Center.
Adrian Jimenz and Ian Arrese take on Shawnee State's (Ohio) Aiden Pine and Landon Smith in the round of 64 in men's doubles at 7 a.m. CT.
Raul Safont and
Jose Tobar take on Midway's (Ky.) Tyler Goldfine and Daniel Pinzon in the round of 32 at 7:45 a.m. CT. Matteo Larrea and
Lev Sholosh are seeded second and square off against Campbellsville's (Ky.) Derrick Namanya and Kevin Kotze in the round of 32 at 8 a.m. CT.
In singles, Arresse takes on Mateo Prado from Bethel (Tenn.) at 9:30 a.m. CT in the first round. Sholosh is seeded fourth in singles and has earned a bye into the second round and will face Midway's Manuel Mirabal at 11:45 a.m. CT. Tobar earned a bye into the second round and takes on Johnson's (Tenn.) Carlos Benjamin Barrios at 1 p.m. CT. Larrea is seeded second and will face Aiden Gray from Shawnee State at 3:30 p.m. CT in the second round.
On the women's side,
Mayra Gisone and
Martina Cortal earned the top seed in doubles and will begin play in the second round at 8 a.m. CT.
Javiera Verdugo and
Hang Nguyen are the fifth seed and will play in the second round at 8 a.m. CT.
Heyka Rodriguez and
Mariangeles Mateu earned the second seed and will play at 8:30 a.m. CT.
Gisone earned the top seed in singles and will take on Parker White from Milligan (Tenn.) in the first round at 9:30 a.m. CT. Verdugo is seeded sixth and will square off against Pikeville's (Ky.) Elizabeth Davis at 9:30 a.m. CT. Nguyen is seeded ninth and will take on Campbellsville's Ekaterina Amosova at Noon CT. Third-seeded
Blanca Trillo takes on Francesca Crosa from Johnson at 1:15 p.m. CT. Cortal earned the fifth seed, taking on Marissa Justice of Shawnee State at 2:30 p.m. CT. Second-seeded Mateu squares off against Campbellsville's Valentina Curli at 3:30 p.m. CT.
