COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson student-athlete Promise Amasiatu was named the Mid-South Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Amasiatu, a freshman from Orlu, Nigeria earns her first indoor weekly honor this season and in her Lindsey Wilson career.

She earned the NAIA "A" standard in the 60-meter dash at the Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee. Amasiatu ran 7.61 seconds in the prelims to advance to the semifinals, where she improved to 7.52 seconds for the third-fastest time of the round. She also met the NAIA "B" standard in the 200 meters with a time of 24.92 seconds earlier in the weekend.

Amasiatu and the Blue Raiders are back in action on Saturday, January 24, at the Centre Indoor Showcase in Danville, Kentucky.
