COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team is ranked No. 18 in the latest NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Blue Raiders have earned 60.53 total points, including 46.73 from individual performances and 13.80 from relay events. Lindsey Wilson joins fellow Mid-South Conference member Cumberlands (Ky.) at No. 1 in the top 25.
Lindsey Wilson holds top-10 national marks in six events. The 4x400-meter relay team of
Daniel Otibo, Royce Mentor,
Enric Fernandez, and
Miah Chatmond leads the group, ranking fifth with a time of 3:15.77 set at the Vanderbilt Indoor Invitational.
Sophomore
Maxwell Wordui is also fifth in the long jump after his 7.45-meter leap at the Commonwealth College Opener. Otibo sits eighth in the 400 meters with a time of 48.42 from the Vanderbilt meet.
In the field events,
Janer Caicedo Campaz ranks ninth in the high jump with a clearance of 2.03 meters, while
Jayden Wentz is 10th in the triple jump at 14.63 meters. Teammate
Lorenzo Luces follows close behind at No. 14 with a 14.58-meter mark.
Cambell Rawlings rounds out the top-10 performances with a 10th-place national ranking in the 60 meters, clocking 6.76 seconds at the Marshall Classic.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 30-31, at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
