Lindsey Wilson Men’s Track & Field Ranked No. 21 in Latest NAIA Ratings

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team is ranked No. 21 in the latest NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Blue Raiders earned 56.61 total points, with 42.98 coming from individual events and 13.62 from relays. Lindsey Wilson joins Mid-South Conference member Cumberlands of Kentucky, who hold the top spot nationally with 223.33 points, as the only two conference programs ranked in the top 25.


Lindsey Wilson continues to post strong results in several events. The 4x400-meter relay team of Daniel Otibo, Royce Mentor, Enric Fernandez, and Miah Chatmond ranks fifth nationally with a time of 3:15.77 from the Vanderbilt Indoor Invitational.


Sophomore Maxwell Wordui is also fifth in the long jump after his 7.45-meter performance at the Commonwealth College Opener. Otibo is 11th in the 400 meters with a time of 48.11 and 23rd in the 200 meters at 21.66, both from the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational. Cambell Rawlings ranks 10th in the 60 meters with a time of 6.76 from the Marshall Classic.


In the field, freshman Janer Caicedo Campaz is 10th in the high jump with a 2.03-meter clearance. Jayden Wentz and Lorenzo Luces are 10th and 14th in the triple jump, while Wordui also holds a 19th-place mark in the 60 meters.


The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday, Feb. 6 in Louisville, Kentucky for the Eastern Indoors
at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
