COLUMBIA, Ky. - The No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's wrestling team is set to compete at the NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships Friday-Saturday at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The field consists of 16 teams competing for the Dual National Championship. All 16 teams are ranked in the top 20 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll, with nine teams appearing in the top 10 of the poll. Last season, Life (Ga.) defeated Grand View (Iowa) 30-12 in the finals.
The Blue Raiders earned the No. 5 seed in the 16-team bracket. Lindsey Wilson opens competition against Ottawa (Kan.) on Friday at 10 a.m. CT. The winner will advance to face the winner of Campbellsville (Ky.) and No. 4 seed William Penn (Iowa) at 11:30 a.m. CT.
Also competing at the duals from the Mid-South Conference are Cumberlands (Ky.), Indiana Tech, and Life.
Lindsey Wilson was last in action back on December 13, posting a 5-0 record at the Berg Holiday Duals. In the latest Coaches' Poll, 11 Blue Raiders are ranked in their respective weight classes with seven being ranked in the top 10.
The Blue Raiders begin competition at the NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships on Friday at 10 a.m. CT against Ottawa at the UNI-Dome.
